Daniel Leroy Eby

Daniel Leroy Eby, 72, of Leesburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Willson Hospice House. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Avalon United Methodist Church. Rev. Dennis Lanning will officiate.

Born in Miami, FL, Mr. Eby had resided in Leesburg for the past 12 ½ years after retiring from the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War as well as the first Gulf War. He retired with the rank of Colonel. After retiring, he worked for SRA in Fairfax, VA and then for DynCorp International as a program manager and a site manager. Mr. Eby had a Masters Degree in Food Service from Penn State University. He was a member of Avalon UMC, the American Legion Post #30, and a Albany Master Gardner.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Pritchett Eby of Leesburg, GA, his father, Roy Daniel Eby, of Miami, FL.
Also, one daughter, Debra Glennon and her husband Kerry of Charlotte, NC, and a son, Richard Daniel Eby and his wife Jackie Eby of Pace, FL with two grandsons, Chase Daniel Eby and Joshua David Eby of Pace, FL. Also, a brother, Thomas Eby and his wife Marcia of Vero Beach, FL, and a sister, Carolyn Eby Summerford and her husband David, of Glennville, GA
