Dale R. Mullis, 57, of Smithville, GA died December 13, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Smithville Baptist Church. Rev. Lance Finley will officiate. A private family interment will be held at the Smithville City Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, Dale had lived in Smithville, GA since 1964, graduated from Lee County High School in 1976 and attended South Georgia Technical Institute in Americus, GA. He was retired from Reeves Construction Company as a truck driver, was a member of Smithville Baptist Church and The Albany Bassin Buddies. Dale was preceded in death by two children, Christopher Ray Mullis and Ladonna Faye Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Anita York Mullis, his mother, Faye Mullis Slocumb and a daughter, Janet (Charles) Martin all of Smithville, GA, a step-daughter, Kristen Lord of Leesburg, GA, a step-son, Brandon (Courtney) Pate of Marion, KY, his grandchildren, Zodie Bowen of Panama City Beach, FL, Arial Nicole Mullis, Brooklynn Rose, Dylan Mullis, Charles Martin III, Shannon Martin and Brannon Martin all of Smithville, GA, five step-grandchildren, Sierra Lord and Savannah Lord both of Lee County, GA, Southern Pate, Braelynn Pate and Bristol Pate all of Marion, KY, a son-in-law, Billy Rose of Smithville, GA, a sister-in-law, Jackie Young of Sylvester, GA and a brother-in-law, Shannon York of Marion, KY.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Smithville Baptist Church.

The family is at the residence of Faye Mulllis, 485 Airport Road, Smithville, GA, 31787 and those desiring may make contributions to COPD Foundation at www.copdfoundation.org.
