Dale H. Brown

Dale H. Brown of Albany, born September 13, 1931, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 86 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

A native of Monessen, PA, Mr. Brown was a retired Senior Design Engineer. He had multiple degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering.  His professional career took him to Westinghouse, the National Reconnaissance Office and the Central Intelligence Agency where he logged over 100 patents, most of which are still classified.  He was raised in Monessen, PA and his career took him and his family to Baltimore, MD.  After retirement he and his wife moved to Albany to be closer to his grandchildren.  Later in life his greatest pleasures were reading anything he could get his hands on and watching his grandchildren play soccer, baseball, and softball.  He was a master craftsman in metals and woods.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Brown, Albany, son Greg Brown (Susan), Oneonta, AL, daughter, Heidi Scott, Albany, grandchildren, Tommy Brown, Becky Brown, Danny Brown, Katie Phillips (Angus) and great grandchildren, Timmy and Mikey Phillips.
