Cynthia Ann Mathews Cook McDuffie, 56, of Leesburg, GA, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. George Mathews will officiate.
Born in Americus, GA, Mrs. McDuffie had resided in Albany, GA before moving to Lee Co., GA forty eight years ago. She was retired from Proctor and Gamble and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Jane Swearingen Mathews and her first husband, Terry L. Cook.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Everett McDuffie, Leesburg, GA, a son, Shawn Cook (Erin), Leesburg, GA, three daughters, Melissa Bass (Kevin), Summerville, SC, Shae Pettit (Luke) and Sabrina Annmarie More (Brandon) both of Leesburg, GA, father and step-mother, Walter D. Mathews, Sr. and Myra Mathews, Worth Co., GA, three brothers, Walter D. Mathews, Jr., and Michael Mathews both of Lee Co., GA and Mike Holladay, Worth Co., GA, three sisters, Sonya Roberts, Leesburg, GA, Missy Thompson, Chattanooga, TN and Jennifer Kraft, Statesboro, GA, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marshall McDuffie and Peggy S. McDuffie, Leesburg, GA, two sisters-in-law, Darlene Adcock, Leesburg, GA and Marlene Harris, Sylvania, GA, a brother-in-law, Dwayne McDuffie, Leesburg, GA and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
