Curtis Elton Carlton

Curtis Elton Carlton, 80 of Albany, GA, died Thursday, February 8, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. James Sellers and Rev. Mark Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Coolidge, GA, Mr. Carlton had resided in Albany since 1962. He was retired from Curtis Mathis as their district sales manager and after retirement he worked with Kirbo and Kirbo. He was a member of Heritage Full Gospel Church and was preceded in death by his parents, John Edwin Carlton and Lillie Peacock Carlton, a brother, Carl Carlton and a sister, Christine Lairsey.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Carlton and a son Mike Carlton (Nicole) all of Albany, GA, two daughters, Linda C. Yarbrough, Pavo, GA, Lisa C. Donalson (Mike), Albany, GA, a sister, Carolyn Allegood, Funston, GA, seven grandchildren, Jason Yarbrough, Anna Yarbrough, Gabe Carlton, Jared Donalson, Jake Donalson, Abbey Carlton, Emily Carlton and a great-grandchild, Lera Yarbrough.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
