Connie Attaway Wallis, 56, of Albany, GA died Friday, February 17, 2012 at her residence. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of Newnan, GA, Mrs. Wallis grew up in Newnan, GA and had resided in Albany, GA since 1972 moving from Fitzgerald, GA. She was formerly employed with Bank of America, was currently the owner and operator of Mayberry Diner and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Michelle Mock and her husband, Titus of Lee County, GA, her mother, Elizabeth (Liz) Hall Bryan of Albany, GA, two grandsons, Zach Mock and his wife, Erica and Andrew Mock and his wife, Haley all of Lee County, GA, two great-grandchildren, Caleb Mock and Kiernan Mock, four sisters, Judy Attaway of Albany, GA, Rita Pate and her husband, John of Gulf Shore, AL, Melinda Grandits of Albany, GA and Bonnie Welch and her husband, Steve of Moultrie, GA, a brother, Allen Payton, and his wife, Sandi of Dawson, GA, nieces and nephews, Macie Pate, Elaina Pate, Abby Pate, Amanda Pate, Parker Grandits and his wife, Sara, Olivia Grandits, Brittany Welch, Payton Welch, Austin Stone and his wife, Kimberly, Gabby Payton and lifetime friends, Wanda and Robby Ash and their children, Chris, Shae, Mel and Shelbi.
Visitation will be Saturday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family will be at Mrs. Wallis’ residence.
