Claude "Chuck" Brock

Claude “Chuck” Brock, 85, of Ashburn, GA formerly of Lee County, GA, died April 28, 2024 at the Tift Regional Medical Center.  Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Leesburg Cemetery.  Rev. Andrew Kornegay will officiate.  The American Legion Honor Guard will provide Military Honors.

Chuck was born in Athens, TN on April 30, 1938 to Horace and Ira Brock as one of ten children.  He grew up there, graduated from McMinn County High School and joined the United States Air Force.  During his service, he was stationed in Iceland and Turner Air Force Base in Albany.  After his enlistment was over, he remained in the Albany area most of his life.

Chuck was employed in the insurance field most of his career and retired in the early 1990's as District Manager of AIG. He moved to Ashburn, GA in 2018 and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, Chehaw Lodge # 701 F & AM, and Hasan Shriners.  During Chuck's lifetime he enjoyed coaching little league, tennis, watching football, working on his farm, taking care of his cows and fishing.  He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Jason Brock in 2020.

Survivors include his children, Tina Brock of Paraguay, SA, Richie Brock and Alan Brock of Ashburn, Georgia, Sheri Brock of Atlanta and Steven Brock (Kristin) of Augusta, GA, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Mathews Funeral Home and will proceed to Leesburg Cemetery.
