Claude Capps

Claude Capps, of Albany, GA, died Friday August 26, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Madison, FL, Mr. Capps grew up in Sale City, GA and graduated from Sale City High School in 1952. He moved from Mitchell County, GA and had resided in Albany, GA since 1979. He was employed with Sears and Roebuck Company worked in delivery and sales for thirty eight years.

Survivors include his wife, Exine (Cricket) Capps of Albany, GA, a son and his wife, Michael and Vickie Capps of Baconton, GA, two step-sons, Charles H. Clark, Jr. of Seffner, FL and Ricky L. Clark of Sandersville, GA, six grandsons, Clay Capps and his wife, Jessica of Baconton, GA, Chuckie Clark of Plant City, FL, Billy Johnson of McDonough, GA, Kris Johnson and his wife, April of Milledgeville, GA, Bruce Clark, Jr. of Albany, GA and Tommy Clark of Seffner, FL, a sister, Gladys Green of Moultrie, GA, a brother, Randolph Capps of Quincy, FL and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Johnson. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Capps and Bruce Clark and a daughter, Phyllis Campbell.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
