Clarine W. Holton

Clarine W. Holton, 89, of Albany, GA, died February 2, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Matthew J. Nance will officiate. Crape Myrtle Chapter # 163 will perform The Order of The Eastern Star Rites. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Camilla, GA, born to the late, James B. and Ruth Rackley Worsham, Mrs. Holton graduated from Camilla High School in 1940 and had resided in Albany, GA since 1958. She was a homemaker, a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and the Martha Sunday School Class. She was also a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Crape Myrtle Chapter # 163.

Survivors include her husband, A.W. Holton, Jr. of Albany, GA, two children, Arcie W. Holton, III and his wife, Sallie of Higdon, AL and Connie Bryant and her husband, Troy of Jonesboro, GA, four grandchildren, Kim Holton of Terre Haute, IN, Simone Thompson and her husband, Tim of Leesburg, GA, Jared Bryant of New York, NY and Jordan Bryant of Jonesboro, GA, five great-grandchildren, Mark Eldridge, Breanna Eldridge, Jessica Thompson, Jordan Thompson and Jamie Thompson.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
