Clarence David Edwards, Sr

Clarence David Edwards, Sr., 71, of Dawson, Georgia died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Lynwood Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Terrell Co., GA, Mr. Edwards was a furniture salesman and retired from Dawson Furniture Co. He was a member of Beulah Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Clarence Edwards and Geraldine Davis Edwards.

Survivors include sons, David Edwards, Jr. (Donna), Dawson, GA, Vernon Smith (Teresa), Cordele, GA, Denise Edwards (Don), Renee' Edwards (Johnny), Americus, GA, grandchildren, J.D. Edwards, Dawson, GA, Amanda Wescott, Dawson, GA, Heather Watzlowick, Moultrie, GA, Wyatt Edwards, Jr., Atlanta, GA, Bryon Edwards, Atlanta, GA, Samatha Edwards, Americus, GA, William Kelley, Ellaville, GA, Steven Edwards, Atlanta, GA, Bradley Pritchard, Americus, GA, Jimmy Smith, Cordele, GA, Andrew Smith, Cordele, GA, Michael Smith, Cordele, GA Donnie Smith, Cordele, GA, twenty two great-grandchildren, several cousins and many friends.

Those serving as pallbearers are, Wyatt Edwards, Jr., William Kelley, Steven Edwards, Bradley Pritchard, J. D. Edwards and Michael Smith.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
