Clara Sue Parker

Clara Sue Parker, 90, of Leesburg, GA., formerly of Albany, GA., died Saturday, February 08, 2014, at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chip Gresham will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Davisboro, GA, born to William H. and Reba W. Horton, Mrs. Parker graduated from Davisboro High School in 1940. She moved to Albany, GA in 1954, she was a homemaker and was employed with the Arctic Bear Restaurant for thirty years. Mrs. Parker was a member of Hall’s Chapel Christian Church and had attended Raleigh White Baptist Church. She was the widow of Charlie E. Parker who died in 1996.
Survivors include her children, Chuck Parker and his wife, Gloria of Albany, GA and Reba Woodrow and her husband, Craig of Snellville, GA, her grandchildren, Megan Powell and her husband, Britton of Valdosta, GA and Erin Parker of Tifton, GA and one great-grandson, Luke Powell.
The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family will be at the residence of Chuck and Gloria Parker 2525 B. Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31721.
