Clara Shiver Campbell

Clara Shiver Campbell, 82, of Leesburg, GA, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will be held at Cool Springs Cemetery in Colquitt County, GA at 2:00 PM.

A native of Doerun, GA, Mrs. Campbell was born to the late John Wesley Shiver and Ferby Jones Shiver. She was a 1948 graduate of Doerun High School and moved to Albany, GA in 1954.

Mrs. Campbell was retired from the King Cotton Gin in Lee County, GA and had been previously employed with Ayers Corporation and Rio Stores. She was the last living sibling of thirteen children. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Congregationalist Church.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Davis and her husband, Royce, Janice Johnson and her husband, Dale, Debbi Parker all of Leesburg, GA and Dale Wayne Campbell, Jr. of Enterprise, AL., her grandchildren, Lewis Herndon, Frank Herndon and his wife, Autumn, Teresa Mangham and her husband, Robert, Jennifer Hope and her husband Stephen, Scotty Jenkins and his wife, Jenny, Mandy Griffin and her husband, Doug, Brooke Sanders, Christopher Johnson and his wife, Mindy, Bruce Johnson, Blake Johnson and his wife, Hallie and Becky Hatcher and her husband, Glenn, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
