Clara Hall Brown

Clara Hall Brown, 80, of Lee County, GA, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Melvin Slappy will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.

A native of Baconton, GA, born to the late Joe and Christine Simpson, Sr., Mrs. Brown had resided in Lee County, GA since 1959 moving from Pelham, GA. She was employed with Lee County Manufacturing for over twenty eight years and attended Kinchafoonee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three sons and their wives, Wayne and Susan Hall of Albany, GA, William and Delores Hall of Leesburg, GA and Jimmy and Sharon Brown of Americus, GA, two sisters, Opel Corbin of Cairo, GA and Betty Sue Simmons of Johnson City, TN, a brother, Joe Brown Simpson, Jr. and his wife, Pete of Cairo, GA, fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
