Clairece Alice King

Clairece Jackson King, 92, of Lee Co., GA, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Magnolia Manor, Americus, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Calvin King will officiate. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church, Tift Co., GA.

A native of Sylvester, GA, Mrs. King had resided in Albany, GA since 1940 moving from Moultrie, GA and had resided in Lee Co, GA since 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Harrison Jackson and Elizabeth Strawder Jackson and her husband, Laffette Maston King.

Survivors include two sons, Larry King, Panama City, FL, Rev. Calvin King and his wife Hanh, Lee Co., GA, two daughters, Barbara Elaine Broome and her husband Don, Lee Co., GA and Kathy Smith and her husband Jeff, Cleveland, TN, a brother, William (Billy) Jackson and his wife Mary, Mitchell Co., GA, a sister, Hazel Barnes, El Paso, TX eight grandchildren, Bradley Smith, Cleveland, TN, Katie Smith Wise and her husband Jason, Nashville, TN, and Alice Smith, Cleveland, TN, Donovan Broome and his wife Denice, Lee Co., GA, Matt Broome and his wife Abby, Albany, GA, Christopher King and his wife April, Tampa, FL, Jennifer Pace and her husband Chris, Florence, AL, Anthony King and Calvin D. King both of Albany, GA and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
