Christopher A. Breen

Christopher A. Breen, 86, of Albany, GA, died August 15, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held August 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.

A native of Newark, NJ, born to the late Lawrence and Margaret Breen, Mr. Breen joined the United States Marine Corps soon after high school. He served his country for twenty two years. During that time, he served in Korea and served two tours in Vietnam.

Mr. Breen was of the Catholic Faith. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1285 where he was employed at a Bartender and was also a life time member of the VFW Post # 2785. He enjoyed fishing, old movies and he loved the Braves.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shizuko Breen.

Survivors include three step-daughters, Cindy C. Heyer and her husband, Michael of Lee County, GA, Emily Howard and Linda Stout of Arkansas, a brother, Lawrence Breen Jr. and his wife, Eva of Signac, NJ, his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Bickler of New Hampstead , NC, Kevin Breen of Madison, NJ, Collen Breen-Lopez of Singac, NJ and Larry Breen, Jr. of Ashbury Park, NJ, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three grand nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
