Christine Yancey Cobb

Christine "Tina" Yancey Cobb, 86, of Leesburg, GA passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Pine Bluff Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Keith Smith and Pastor Bruce Smith will officiate. A private interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in Union Springs, AL, she was raised in Fort Gaines, GA. Tina moved to Albany in 1945 and married the late William R. Cobb, Jr. in 1950. She loved working in the yard and was a member of the Albany Garden Club. Tina was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and later joined Pine Bluff Baptist Church. She placed her trust in Jesus Christ in 1978.

Survivors include a son Bill "Iris" Cobb and a sister Laney "David" Young all of Sasser, GA, three grandchildren Jessica "Jamin" Ward of Albany, GA, Bethany "Steven" Blanton of Albany, GA, and Joseph "Elizabeth" Young of Byron, GA, three great-grand children Reid Young, Kenley Blanton, and Mallory Ward and a brother Troy Lee Yancey of Georgetown. GA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
