Chelsea Louise (Mitchell) Ligget

Chelsea L. Ligget, 29, passed away unexpectedly on July 4th, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and was welcomed with wide open arms of her desperately missed mother and Jesus. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8th 2:30-3:30pm with funeral following at 4:00pm at The Church At The Groves, 130 McIntosh Farms Road, Leesburg, GA 31763. 

Chelsea Ligget was born August 3rd,1992 in Jacksonville, Florida. Daughter of Buddy and Robbin Mitchell & unofficial adopted daughter of Guy and Kristina Eason. Chelsea was primarily a stay at home mom and a loving teacher at Porterfield Methodist Day School, she was loved by her all her kids and coworkers. She was very excited to be starting her first “big girl job” as she dubbed it, at Wetherald Behavioral Consulting but unfortunately was never able to begin. She was a wonderful daughter, sassy baby sister, devoted mom and wife. She loved reading often until early hours of the morning. She enjoyed spending time with her girls at Chehaw Park, loved animals, and watching (to her siblings annoyance) reruns of The Nanny and Gilmore Girls loudly, early in the mornings. She shared the love of the show, The Office with her sisters and husband. She especially loved taking naps claiming it was needed for beauty sleep.

She is preceded in death by her mother Robbin Bird Mitchell, grandparents Cliff and Fran Bird, James and Louise Mitchell. Also her memaw, Sheila Mae Walker.

She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Caleb Ligget, and daughters Emmalee (7) and Ivy Ligget (5) of Leesburg. Five brothers Tj Farmer (Tammie) of Ashburn, Cliff Farmer (Lynn) of Leesburg, Alexander Eason of Tallahassee, FL, Greg Eason of Hilton Head, S.C, and Brandon Eason of Albany. Two sisters Christina Beaty (Jonathan) of Albany and Sarah Bird of Albany. Parents Buddy Mitchell of Albany & Guy and Kristina Eason of Albany. Father & Mother in law Stephen and Kathy Ligget of Leesburg. Sister in law Rebekah Youngblood (James) of Canton. Also many adoring nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her desperately.
