Charles Samuel Wells

Charles Samuel Wells, 72, of Albany, GA died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Smithville City Cemetery, Smithville, GA. Rev. William Collins will officiate.

 Born in Smithville, GA, Mr. Wells had resided in Albany, GA all of his adult life. He was retired from the City of Albany, GA utilities department. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and attended Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Edward Wells and Maude Christine Biddy Wells, sisters, Christine Wells, Carol Wells Byrd, brothers, Edward Wells, James Pruitt, Renon Pruitt, Eval Pruitt and long-time companion, Bonnie McCoy.

Survivors include sisters, Jo Ann W. Collins, Lee Co., GA, Eloise W. Crook, Smithville, GA and Betty Jean W. Tucker, Mitchell Co., GA and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the services at Smithville City Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial donations in memory of Charles S.
