Charles E. Stevenson

Charles E. Stevenson, 78, of Dawson, formerly of Albany died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence.

His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Sherwood Baptist Church with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. Michael Catt will officiate.

A native of Rayville, LA, Mr. Stevenson had lived in Albany for the last 46 years retiring from Georgia Pacific. He was a graduate of McNeese State where he played football and baseball and after graduation he played Minor League Baseball for 4 years.

A member of Sherwood Baptist Church, the Fisher of Men Sunday School Class, Mr. Stevenson loved to fish and was a member of the Bassin Buddies.

Survivors include his wife Sherry Norwood Stevenson, Dawson, son, Charles. E. (Steve) Stevenson, Jr. (Tina), Dawson, daughter, Angie Stevenson Mulder (Kevin), Franklin, TN, grandchildren, Robert, Sarah and Anna Stevenson all of Dawson, sister, Wanda Stevenson Robinson (Johnny), Monroe, LA.

The family will receive friends Friday 2 to3 p.m. in the Atrium at Sherwood Baptist Church.
