Charles Edward Outlaw, 82, of Leesburg, GA died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Coy, AL, Mr. Outlaw had resided in Albany, GA since 1953. He was employed with Lilliston Corporation until its closing and then retired from the MCLB. He volunteered at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for many years after retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Riley Outlaw and Vadie Bell Sheffield Outlaw, a brother, Richard Henry Outlaw, three sisters, Lucille McCollum, Merle Bozeman, Julia Tucker and three wives, Grace Carden Outlaw, Bonnie Outlaw and Veda Wingate Tison Outlaw.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Dean Outlaw, Wichita, KS, Mark Wayne Outlaw, Niceville, FL, two daughters, Vivian Gail Collins and Vickie Lane Spear both of Albany, GA, two sisters, Ruby Lou Cain, Leesburg, GA, Helen Megginson, Thomasville, AL and a brother, Jimmy Outlaw, Jackson, AL, two step-daughters, Rena Barnhill Brewer, Albany, GA, Tina Cranford, Pelham, GA, a step-son, Tony Tison, Leesburg, GA, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence of Ruby Lou Cain, 142 Leland Ferrell Drive, Leesburg, GA.
