Charles "Charlie" Mancuso, Sr., 75, of Albany, GA died Monday, November 9, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jonathan LaBarge will officiate. Social distancing and masks will be requested.
Born in San Fratello Italy, Charles came to the United States at the age of 7 living in the Bronx New York. Charles joined the Marines at the age of 18. After serving a tour of duty in Vietnam Charles was stationed in Albany Georgia. After being discharged, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and worked as a letter carrier for forty years.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Salvator Mancuso and Sarafina Regalbto Mancuso, two sons Chuck and James Mancuso and two siblings, Vincent and Maria Mancuso.
Survivors include his wife, Connie F. Mancuso, Albany, GA, sons, Donny Wells (Penny), Albany, GA, Dexter Wells , Atlanta, GA, brother, Anthony Mancuso (Jeannie), Connecticut, grandchildren, Nina Roberts, Zack Bearden, Mason Mancuso, Ashley Mancuso, Lauren Wells, Brandon Mancuso, Conner Mancuso, fur baby (Maggie) and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the services at Mathews Funeral Home.
