Charles (Chuck) Ralph Jowers, 76, of Albany, passed away peacefully at his home, Monday, July 31, 2023.
His memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home.
He was born, October 8, 1946 in Phenix City, AL to Ralph Jowers and Eunice Taylor. He married his high school sweetheart Lenora Houston in March of 1967.
Chuck loved fishing, baseball, family and serving the Lord and was loved by everyone he met.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and an all-around family man. The greatest treasures were family and embracing every moment with them, one of his goals was to always keep his family together.
He did everything for anyone and always wanted to do what was right and help in any way and lived his life as a Christian example for his family.
With the guidance of his father-in-law, Chuck worked as an electrician all his life. He started at Houston Electric, with his father-in-law, and over the course of his career he proudly worked with, Coats and Clark, Tara Foods, Albany Electric and retired from Webco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Mark Harness.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Lenora Houston Jowers, Albany, brother Ronnie Fuller, Bainbridge, sister, Teresa Cochran (Michael), Jackson, MS daughter, Connie George, Albany, son Chad Jowers (Nicole), Ft. Worth, TX, grandchildren, Laura Shiver (Jimmy), Michael George (Lauren), Lily Jowers, Luke Jowers, great grandchildren Madilynn Shiver, Ellie Shiver.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Regency SouthernCare Hospice and the following people, Becky Kendrick, Lauren Smoake, Biany Pineda, Kim Blackstock, Courtney Youmans, Tiffany Johnson, Nancey Sellers, Keanna Reed, Brenda Boyette, Chris Williams and Terry Siniard.
