Charles Wayne Hunt

Charles Wayne Hunt, 83, of Leesburg, GA, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church at the Groves, Leesburg, GA. Pastor Ben Steffens will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery with military honors.

Born in Charleston, WV, Mr. Hunt had resided in Albany, GA for the past fifty-one years and moved to Lee Co., GA eleven years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force where he retired. He also retired from MCLB where he served as a supervisor in the repair division. He was a member of the Albany Amateur Radio Club and a member of The Church at The Groves.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Ford Hunt, Leesburg, GA, a son, Charles Morgan Hunt, Albany, GA, a daughter, Jennifer Midkiff (David), Charleston, SC, a step-son, Larry McLeod (Brenda), Albany, GA, a
brotherâ€"in-law, Don Ford (Ann), Slocomb, AL, a grand daughter, Lisa Glass (James), Albany, GA and three great-grandchildren, Lexi Glass, Gavin Glass and Mason Glass.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
