Charles Thomas "Tommy" Broadaway, 70, of Albany, GA died May 1, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Albany. Rev. Thad Haygood, Rev. Scott Stanfill, and Bobby Joiner will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Pelham, GA, Tommy grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1965 and graduated from Georgia South Western University in 1971 with a business degree. He was a Builder and owned and operated J.C. Broadaway Construction Company. Tommy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Albany and The Monk Thompson Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Flint River Golf Club and Stonebridge Golf and Country Club. He was active in disaster mission work through First United Methodist Church and he also enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Tanner Broadaway of Albany, two sons, Josh Broadaway and his wife, Tina of Dothan, AL and Drew Broadaway and his wife, Amy of Albany, a sister, Nancy Perry and her husband, Jim of Sasser, GA and four grandchildren, Alex Broadaway, Sam Broadaway, Blake Broadaway and Haley Broadaway.

The family will receive friends Wednesday starting at 6:00 PM at Merry Acres Event Center.
