Cerissa Shea (Kagley) Bodiford

Cerissa Shea (Kagley) Bodiford, 30, of Albany, died Friday September 16, 2016. Her funeral service will be Wednesday 4 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday 3 to 4 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

Cerissa loved her family and her friends to the point that she would fight for them. She was a vibrant and free spirited. She would say don't grieve for me, I'm in a much better place. She was her daddy's baby girl. Even though she never walked down the aisle she was Joel's wife because she said so!

Above all was the love of her life Jayden, he was her heart and she was his star. To all who really knew her you were blessed.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John and Lucille Bodiford.

Survivors include her son Jayden Lee Jackson, Albany, mother and step father, Pamela C. and Donald Hammock, Calera, AL, father, Grady L. Bodiford, Albany, GA grandparents, Merrill and Doris Dodd, Celera, AL, Larry and Kathy Chestnut, brothers, Thomas Bodiford, Blade Hammock, sisters Misty Moree, Tyler Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
