Cecelia Ann Jordan Bailey

Cecelia Ann Jordan Bailey, 71, of Sumter County, GA died May 10, 2019 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Greg Kirk and Dr. Michael Walker will officiate.  Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Robbie Horne, Randy Horne, Chase Horne, Kevin Wade, Elijah Walker and Kevin Kennedy.

Mrs. Bailey was born on August 28, 1947 in Blakely, GA to the late William and Vivian McKinnon Lofton and grew up in Albany, GA.  During her career, Mrs. Bailey was employed with Dr. Ross Thomas, DDS, Dr. John Field, DDS/Oral Surgery and William Field, DDS. She worked in the operating room a great deal assisting in oral surgeries. She was fun to work with and always loved having a good time at work. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany.  She and her husband J.K. were huge NASCAR and dirt track racing fans and spent many weekends traveling to races. Her passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would light up when any of Grandchildren showed up to visit. She also was an animal lover and adored her cats, especially Callie.

Survivors include a daughter and her spouse, Rosalyn and Greg Kirk of Sumter County, GA and a step daughter Latrelle and Chuck Dayhuff of Lee County, GA, a sister, Wendy Walker and her husband, Michael of Nashville, TN, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
