Catherine B. Smith

Catherine B. Smith, 88, of Albany, GA passed away, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, May13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Smith, parents, Thomas Barksdale and Ila Lee Staines Barksdale, siblings, Vernice B. Page and Albert Barksdale. 

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Smith Bradley (Ralph), grandson, Christopher Covington (Katie), great grandchildren, Jack, Nathan, and Lily Katherine Covington,  great niece, Leha Berry, and her friend whom she loved like a daughter, Paula Gantt Carter. 

The family will receive friends Friday, May 13, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
