Carson H. King, 77, of Albany, GA, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Crisp County, GA Carson had lived most of his life in Albany, GA. He was a retired electrician at Firestone Tire Company and Proctor and Gamble, an Air Force veteran and was of the Baptist Faith. Carson was preceded in death by a son, John Paul King and his parents, Johnny King and Pauline Brown King, a brother, Delano King and a sister, Margie Vaughn.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie King Maloney and her husband Robert of St. Marys, GA and Ann King of St. Marys, GA, a son, Bill King of Naples, FL, a special friend, Bettie Allen of Albany, GA, five grandchildren, Jason Newton and his wife, Veronica, Jodi Maloney, Zane Maloney, Amanda King and Jennifer Boland, eight great-grandchildren, Hope Maloney, Cheyenne Maloney, Elizabeth Maloney, Chandale Martin, Crystal Couffman, Alanna Boland, Isaiah Maloney and Jacob Johnson and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family will be at the residence 3203 Sylvester Road, Lot 36, Albany, GA.
