Carroll Andrew Zombro

Carroll A. (Z) Zombro, 81, of Albany, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Phoebe North Campus. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.
"Z" was a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps after having served over thirty years before retiring 31 July 1984. In August of 1984 he became employed with Guardsmark, Inc. of Memphis, TN as a security officer and contracted to work at Miller Brewing Company in Albany.
"Z" was a member of the Middleway Methodist Church and is survived by his wife Violet Larue Zombro of Albany, one son Carroll A. Zombro, Jr. of Albany, a daughter Celesle Zombro Griffin (Joe) of Albany, brothers Stanley E. of Winchester, VA, Melvin L. of Woodbridge, VA, Kenneth V. of Chula Vista, CA, a sister Patsy H. McDaniel of Gerrardstown, W. VA, grandchildren L.J. and Jason, and five Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Justin of Albany and a brother Donald R. of Charles Town W. VA.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
