Carrie Eulene Rentfrow

Carrie Eulene Rentfrow, 85, of Albany, GA, died April 20, 2017 in Adel, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Hanna and Rev. Gerald Folds will officiate. Interment will follow in Zion Hope Cemetery in Arabia, GA.

A native of the Pateville Community in Crisp County, Mrs. Rentfrow was born to the late Thomas Pate Folds and Florrie Childers Folds. She was the last surviving of eight children. Mrs. Rentfrow graduated from Crisp County High School and moved to Albany from Cordele in 1954. She was employed with Darton College from 1968 until 2011 during which time she worked with Continuing Education and the Purchasing Department. During her tenure at Darton College, she earned an Associates Degree. Mrs. Rentfrow was a beloved and faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany and a member of the Christian Laborers Sunday School Class. She loved going fishing and camping with her family and watching the kids play sports. She had a sweet and compassionate way about her that everyone loved. She was preceded in death by her husband John Loyd Rentfrow, Sr. in 2003.

Survivors include two children, Patricia "Pat" Lynn Rogers of Dayton, OH and John L. "Bo" Rentfrow, Jr of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Jason A. Rogers and his wife, Kara of Morristown, TN and Rashelle Rentfrow and Mason Rentfrow both of Albany, GA and her great-grandchildren, Ansley Rogers, Lucus Rogers, Joey Rogers and Phoenix Vickers.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at First Free Will Baptist Church.
