Carolyn Faye Russell

Carolyn Faye Russell, 82, of Albany, GA, died November 24, 2022 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Roger Morey will officiate.  Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Russell was born on January 6, 1940 in Colquitt County, GA to the late William and Ruthie Mae Grier.  She moved to Albany, GA in 1960.  She was a homemaker and member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church.  Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by a brother, Brady Grier.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ted Russell, her children, Dewayne Russell, Janet (Bo) Underwood, her siblings, Maxine Dye, Mary Florence Paulk, and Debra (Ricky) Beck, her grandchildren, Maci Underwood, Paige White, and Georgeanne Russell, and great-grandchildren, Cody White, River Cato, and Leeland Russell.  Also many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thank you to caregiver and friend, Betty Paul, and the staff of Willson Hospice House.   

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
