Carolyn H. Melton

Carolyn H. Melton, 81, of Albany, GA, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. David Smith and Rev. Tony Haefs will officiate. A private entombment will follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum.

A native of Sylvester, GA, Mrs. Melton had resided in Albany, GA., since 1958 moving from Warwick, GA. She was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base and was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Dowling Melton, her parents, Bennie Houston and Aubrey Griffin Houston, two brothers, Benjamin Houston, Griffin Houston and a sister, DeLena Shivers.

Survivors include the father of her children, George Nathan Bundrick, Albany, GA, two daughters, Susanne Hunkele and her husband John, St. Simons Island, GA, Lisa Cox and her husband Bill, Albany, GA, two sons, Billy Bundrick and his wife, Terry, Cairo, GA, Don Bundrick and his wife Becky, Tallulah Falls, GA, ten grandchildren, Kelly Lawler and her husband, Matt, Cumming, GA, Cara Martin and her husband Chris, Richmond Hill, GA, Christopher Hunkele, Athens, GA, Courtney Hunkele, Beverly Hills, CA, Will Bundrick and his wife Joni, Woodstock, GA, Jake Bundrick, Los Angeles, CA, Nate Bundrick and his wife Candice, Turnerville, GA, Eli Bundrick, Tallulah Falls, GA, Jeremy Clark and his wife, Jenny, Albany, GA, Christian Clark, Virginia Beach, VA and seven great-grandchildren, Avery Lawler and Caroline Lawler both of Cumming, GA, Jackson Martin and Cathryn Martin both of Richmond Hill, GA, Liam Bundrick, Woodstock, GA, Hunter Clark, Tifton, GA and Leena Bundrick, Turnerville, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel.
