Carolyn Patterson Duke

Carolyn Patterson Duke, 85, of Albany, died Friday, April 29, 2022 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Rev. David Rogers will officiate.

Born in Ideal, GA, Mrs. Duke moved to Smithville in 1952 when she married her late husband Buford Duke and shortly thereafter moved to Albany.  She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and had worked for Dr’s Myers and Allen as a surgical assistant.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Allie Benton Patterson and Ruth Tucker Patterson, siblings, Joyce Patterson Kennedy, Malcolm Patterson, Donald Patterson and Andrea Patterson Thomas.

Survivors include her son Kerry Duke, Albany, daughter, Kim Fabian (Mark), Lee County, grandchildren, Alison Trotter (Michael), Lee County, Justin Collins, Lee County, Melissa Byrne (David), Leary, Jennifer Miller (Stan), Albany, Paul Hansen (Ashley) Trussville, AL, great grandchildren, Lauren, Collins, Jace, Branson, Addyson, Jenna, Taylor Laine, Lily, Lucas and Emersyn.
