Carol G. Rowlette

Carol Gunn Rowlette passed away at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus, GA on Friday, February 12, 2016 one day after her 78th birthday. There will be a memorial service Sunday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Covenant Church, 1105 W. Second Avenue, in Albany.

Carol was born in Michigan and was a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois. She came to Albany from Prescott, Arizona in 1975. Carol was a member of Christian Covenant Church and frequently attended Sherwood Baptist Church. She was employed at the Marine Base.

Carol struggled all her life with the effects of childhood polio. Her Church Family and Facebook friends responded to the message of her passing by rejoicing that she would now be dancing and singing (humming, maybe?) before her Heavenly Father!

Carol is survived by her daughter Michelle of Los Angeles, CA, her son David and his wife Karla and their two sons and two daughters who reside in Phoenix, AZ, her brother Bill Gunn of Dallas, TX, and her very dear friend, Harriet Simmons of Atlanta, GA.
