Carmen A. (Dip) Dippolito, 84, of Albany, GA, died January 16, 2017 at Phoebe North Campus. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Carlos Pinzon will officiate.
A native of Norristown, PA, Mr. Dippolito was born to the late Anthony and Lucy Dippolito. He graduated from West Catholic High School, attended Technical College for Tailoring and Clothing Design. Mr. Dippolito also served in the 2nd Infantry Division, United Sates Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Dippolito moved to Albany, GA from Altamonte Springs, FL in 1977 and was employed with the Marine Corps Logistic Base for twenty two years. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Sub Parrish. Mr. Dippolito was an active member of the Sowega Council on Aging Ramp Crew and an accomplished musician who had a passion for playing the piano.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine G. Dippolito of Albany, GA, three children, Dina McCormack and her husband, Greg of Park City, Utah, Steven Dippolito of New York, NY and Lisa Portman and her husband, Jeff of Atlanta, GA, two sisters, Toni Raulston and her husband, Ron of Magnolia, NJ and Barbara Dippolito of Norristown, PA and six grandchildren, Keller McCormack, Bryce McCormack, Halley McCormack, Aiden Portman, Jeff Portman and Mason Portman.
