Carlos Q. Dekle, Jr

Carlos Q. Dekle, Jr., 90, of Albany, GA died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with Masonic rites. Rev. Jim Eubanks will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Dekle was a veteran of WW II serving in the Navy and had resided in Albany, GA for the past eighty years. He was retired from Flint River Textiles and a member of Masonic Lodge # 24 A & FM. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a great grandchild Haley Darrow.

Survivors include his wife, of 71 years Blanche Smallwood Dekle, a son Richard Dekle (Patricia), a daughter Charlotte Lindsey (Wilbur), two brothers, Marion Dekle (Marlene) all of Albany, GA, Jerry Lokey (Sandra), Lee Co., GA, three sisters, Jeanette Peterson, Blooming Prairie, MN, Margie Coleman Casey, Lee Co., GA,, Gloria Johnson, Cairo, GA, six grandchildren, Stephanie Whitcomb, Kimberly Nix, Angela Giles, Kristie Darrow, Amy Williams and Benjamin Lindsey, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
