Carl Fowler, 86, of Albany, GA, died Saturday September 24, 2011 at Sylvester Health Care Nursing Home, Sylvester, GA. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Woodbury, GA Mr. Fowler had resided in Albany, GA since 1961 moving from LaGrange, GA. Mr. Fowler was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration, a member of Bronwood United Methodist Church and was a Navy WWII Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post #30, Loyal Order of Moose, Albany Elks lodge #713 and a member of the Gourd Society.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Fowler of Albany, GA: two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Bruce Hayes of Lee County, GA, Phyllis and Pete Heist of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Don Fowler of Albany, GA; granddaughter and her husband, Candace and Isaac Statzer; two grandsons, Dustin Fowler and Brady Fowler; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Statzer; Mrs. Fowler's son and daughter-in-law, David and Angela Fuller of Albany, GA
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.
