Carl Junior Collins

Carl Junior Collins, 77, of Albany, GA, died July 15, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 12:00 Noon at Andersonville National Cemetery. Family members will officiate

A native of Houston County, AL, Mr. Collins served in the United States Army for nine years and served in the Air Force Reserves for twelve years. He was employed with the Tucson, AZ Unified School District and had resided in Braunfels, TX for fifteen years before moving to Albany, GA five years ago. Mr. Collins was a member of Nelson C. Bledsoe Masonic Lodge #74 and was Past Master of John Wayne Lodge #76.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Larry and Donna Collins of Peach Bottom, PA and Lonnie and Carol Collins of Fayetteville, NC, three daughters, Marsha Shilling and her husband Charlie of Truth or Consequences, NM, Vickie Collins of VT and Robin Collins of Tucson, AZ, a step-son, Gary Collins of Tucson, AZ, a brother, John Collins of Albany, GA, a sister, Estelle Phillips of Pelham, GA, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
