Cara Whitney Nichols, 30, of Dawson, GA died Tuesday, December 26, 2016 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, Cara had resided in Dawson all of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by her father Kenneth Neal Nichols.

Survivors include son, Braden Moss, Dawson, GA, her mother and step-father, Charlene Etherton Thompson and Joey Thompson, Dawson, GA, two brothers, Joseph Neal Nichols, Leesburg, GA, Dakota Thompson, Bronwood, GA, a sister, Michelle (Mickey) Grissom, Cairo, GA, maternal grandparents, Lucille R. Pace and Melvin Pace, Dawson, GA.

The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home following the services.
