Captola "Cappy" H. Kimbrell

Captola H. “Cappy” Kimbrell, 78, of Miramar. FL died June 10, 2018 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 16, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Norman Denney will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. The United States Air Force will provide Military Honors.

A native of Summerville, NJ, Mrs. Kimbrell graduated from Summerville High School in 1957 and joined the United States Air Force where she met her husband. After her enlistment, they moved to Albany, GA to live and raise their family.

Mrs. Kimbrell moved to Miami, FL in 1977 and was a homemaker and was employed with Wal-Mart. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, a former member of The Loyal Order of the Moose, enjoyed bowling and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Edgar and Mildred Schmidt, her daughter, Denise Ann Kimbrell Aguiar and a brother, Eddie Schmidt.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Kimbrell, two sons, Craig Kimbrell and his wife, Donna of Leesburg, GA and Bill Kimbrell and his wife, Barbara of Miramar, FL, a sister, Lois Bays of Seattle, WA, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
