Calvin Edrew Milling, 91, of Albany, GA, died May 1, 2015 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral arrangements will be held Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home. Ross Powell will officiate. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The American Legion Post # 30 providing Military Honors.
A native of Manchester, GA, Mr. Milling grew up in Norman Park, GA and had resided in Albany, GA since he was sixteen. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
Mr. Milling was employed with the Atlantic Coastline Railroad as a car inspector and retired from CSX Railroad as a Conductor. He was a fifty five year member of Dougherty Lodge # 591, a 32nd degree Scottish Mason and a member of Hasan Shrine.
Survivors include his daughter, Jakie Brown and her husband, Gene of Juliette, GA, his sons, Phillip Milling and his wife, Dianne, Farris Milling and his wife, Sandra all of Albany, GA, Calvin Milling and his wife, Brenda, Mark Milling and his wife, Helen all of Lee County, GA,. his grandchildren, David Brown of Macon, GA, Sherry Jones of Atlanta, GA, Shane Milling and his wife Lani, Allen Milling and his wife Kaori all of Lee County, GA, Shannon Callahan of Albany, GA, Christie Bressi of Catawissa, PA, Calvin Milling, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Las Vegas, NV, Charlie Milling and his wife, Rhonda of Lee County, GA, Phillip Milling, Jr. and his wife, Heather of Stone Mountain, GA, Michael Milling of Albany, GA, Richard Milling of Chula Vista, CA, Ryan Milling of Tampa, FL and Charlene Milling of Leesburg, GA, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home. The Services will begin at 2:00 p.m.
