Celia Joyce Davis Hornsby, 87, of Albany, GA died Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Andersonville Nat’l. Cemetery. Mr. Bobby Willis will officiate. Born in Worth Co., GA, Mrs. Hornsby and her family moved to Albany, GA when she was a child. She married the late Roger M. Hornsby and was a military wife until his retirement and they returned to Albany, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Clarence Davis and Pearl Golden James Davis, a son, Roger Wayne Hornsby and a son-in-law, Virgil Halte. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church Survivors include two sons, Donnie Willis (Nancy), Leesburg, GA, Bobby Willis (Nancy), Pensacola, FL, two daughters, Cheryl Halte, Jean Calek (Buzz) all of Albany, GA, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hornsby, Putney, GA, a brother, Troy Davis, Katy, TX, eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials to the Albany Humane Society, 1730 W. Oakridge Dr., Albany, GA, 31707.
