Buford Paul Rolling, 81, of Albany, GA, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Lillian G. Carter Health and Rehab. in Plains, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel. Elder Bobby Marshall will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Mausoleum.
Mr. Rolling was born in Slocomb, AL on August 23, 1933. He joined the Baptist church at the age of nine and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rolling had resided in Albany, GA since 1948 and served in the Marine Corps in the mid 50's for four years and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA.
He owned and operated a small construction Co. until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of Actors and Others for animals in Los Angeles, CA. He also enjoyed playing golf until the age of 81.
Survivors include his wife of forty seven years, Dee Rolling, Albany, GA, four daughters, Diane Irving (Manuel) Ventura, CA, Georgia Wojdate, Glenda Smith (Glen), Robin Besand and a son, Darrell Rolling all of Jacksonville, FL, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the services at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and personnel at Lillian G. Carter Health and Rehab. for the excellent care that was given to Paul.
The family also appreciates all of the many prayers from Dee's church (Albany Gospel Chapel) and other churches in the area and their many, many friends who helped the family continuously.
