Buddy D. Baker, Jr

Buddy D. Baker, Jr., 83, of Albany, GA, died August 9, 2014 at the Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Colquitt City Cemetery in Colquitt, GA.

A native of Blanchard, OK he was born to the late B.D. Baker and Cleffie Jewell Havens. Mr. Baker was stationed at Turner Air Force Base in Albany, GA in 1953 while serving in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Baker was first employed with Gravely Tractor Company, but was a long time employee of Seely's Office Supply and retired in 1991. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and the K and K Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife of fifty eight years, Bobbie Ann Baker of Albany, GA, two children, Dwight Baker and his wife, Ruth of Stickney, SD and Torri Harman of Albany, GA, two brothers, Austin Havens and his wife, Roseanne and Allen Havens and his wife, Juanita of Bradley, OK, three sisters, Natalie Rutherford of Lawton, OK, Linda Richards of Bradley, OK and Laverne Alexander and her husband, Terry of Lindsay, OK and five grandchildren, Cody Ray Harman of Albany, GA, Gage Baker, Memphis Baker, Julia Baker and Bethany Baker all of Stickney, SD. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wiley Baker and a step-sister, Paralee Havens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday before the funeral at First Free Will Baptist Church.
