Bruce L. Brundage

Bruce L. “Big Bruce” Brundage, 77, of Leesburg, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his home. He was born at Quincy hospital in Quincy Massachusetts on January 29, 1947. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and spent 16 years in the Air Force Reserves. Growing up he enjoyed hockey, bowling, snow skiing, and ice skating. Big Bruce was also a gearhead, working on cars and being an active member of several car clubs. 

 In 1983 he moved his family to southwest Georgia after taking a job with Miller Brewing company, where he was employed for 25 years. In his later years, Bruce enjoyed carpentry work and cooking. An avid fan of Nascar and the New England Patriots, he was known and loved by many for his generosity and kindness. He never knew a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Bruce was married to his loving wife Judy for 51 years. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Jessie Brundage and a brother, Scott Brundage.

Survivors include his wife Judy Brundage, son Dave Brundage, daughter Jani Dennis and her husband John Dennis. He had three grandchildren, Mathew Holt, Collin Dennis, David Dennis, and seven great grandchildren, Bella, Corley, Oliver, Abigail, Finley, Daphne, and Angie. He is also survived by brother Danny Brundage, his wife Linda, and his sister-in-law Marsha Brundage.
