Brittany Lauren Kerfoot, 30, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, January 30, 2016. Visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home on February 2, 2016 from 6-8. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 3rd 2016, 11:00 am at Thundering Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Thomas Baggett and Pastor Bruce Deal will officiate. Interment will follow in Thundering Springs Cemetery.
Brittany Kerfoot touched everyone's lives with her beauty on the inside as well as on the outside. She currently taught 2nd grade at Lake Park Elementary School and previously taught kindergarten at Baconton Community Charter School. Brittany's greatest love in life was teaching. Her passion for children and their learning will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of having her as their mentor. She treasured her students more than anything and took care of them as if they were her own. She touched the children's lives on a daily basis and they touched hers even more. Brittany was one of the kindest, gentlest spirits to ever grace us with her presence on this Earth.
Brittany was a member of Thundering Springs Baptist church and active Cancer Ties member since 2011.
She cherished her family and devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her Nana who passed in 2014, and her Papa who passed in 2015. She was also the best aunt to her 3 nephews, Dylan, Dayne and Davis. She valued true friendship and embraced her friends as if they were her family. She loved her two "Fur Babies" Lovey and Bella. She had a passion for fitness, music, and reading.
Her beautiful smile radiated love and happiness.
Born in Albany, GA, but lived most of her life in Hazlehurst, GA and was a 2004 graduate of Jeff Davis High School. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents James L. & Sylvia F. Kerfoot and her aunt Shelia F. Eubanks.
Survivors include her mother and step-father Sherry and Jay Way, Leesburg, GA. Father and step-mother Tony and Karen Cirlingione. A sister (sissy) Natasha and her husband Zach of Leesburg, GA. Step brother Jason Wiley and his wife Jenny of Savannah. Two honorary brothers Jeremy Dykes and his wife Brittney of Leesburg and Justin Dykes. Nephews, Dylan Deas, Dayne Golden and Davis Golden all of Leesburg.
The family is at the residence of Zach and Natasha Golden, 206 Sportsman Club Rd. Leesburg, GA.
