Brenda Gail Jones

Brenda Gail Jones, 63, of Albany, GA, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Brenda was born in Atlanta, GA on February 8, 1956. She happily spent her child and teen years with her parents Ruby and Calvin Turner as well as her baby sister Tina. She graduated from Albany High School in May of 75. Afterwards, she went to pursue work for Herdford's Ranch then with Harvey's Supermarket on Slappey Blvd when she finally met Edward Tyrone Jones, her future husband and man of her dreams.

To begin with in her teen years, she didn't like Tyrone and grew to fall in love with him later on in their 20s when they were introduced again by a mutual friend. Many ups and downs have happened in their marriage but they always came back to each other, the beauty of their bond giving them the blessings of Ashlie Marie Jones and twelve years later, Dena Louise Estelle Jones. Her eldest gave her beautiful grandchild with her son-in-law Shaun O'Neal. She absolutely adored and spoiled her grandbabies Kaitlyn O'Neal and Jace O'Neal, her joy in seeing them flourish always made her day.

Brenda and Tyrone have been inseparable ever since, her biggest anchor being her husband and children in the home she had achieved in hard work. She was adored by many in her careers; Janitorial for Sylvester Elementary, delivery with Albany Herald Newspapers, and her biggest joy was through Coats & Clark. She met many people in her years, everyone adoring her fiery and strong spirit, her ability to inspire others to work harder never failed.

Her pioneer ways, strong intellect, and the ability to be super woman at home and at work influenced many to see how marvelous and genuine Brenda Gail Jones was in everything she put her mind and hands on. She will forever be missed and loved by all those she graced.
