Brandon DeWayne Wood

Brandon DeWayne Wood, 28, of Albany, GA died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Albany, Brandon had lived in the Albany area all his life and he attended schools in Worth and Mitchell Counties. Brandon was currently an honor student at Albany Technical College where he was to graduate in December. He was an outdoorsman and loved the Georgia Bulldogs. Brandon was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Payton Palmer, Layken Cooper and Jayden Cooper all of Worth County, GA, his fiancee, Kristen Richardson of Albany, GA, his parents, Tammy and Ronnie Jones and Mickey and Kathy Wood all of Mitchell County, GA, a brother, Chris (Buba) Jones and his wife, Lisa of Worth County, GA, his sisters, Selena L. Jones of Albany, GA, Mandy Wood and Mandi Jones of Mitchell County, GA, maternal grandmother, Carol Batton of Albany, GA and nine nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at the Batton Residence, 808 15th Avenue, Albany, GA.
