Bobby C. Gibson, Sr

Bobby C. Gibson, 76, of Georgetown died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

His service will be Saturday 11 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 10 AM until funeral time.

Born in Cleveland, AL, Mr. Gibson moved to Albany 20 years ago from Dothan. He was an Air Traffic Controller at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport. After his retirement he moved to Georgetown where enjoyed sitting on his deck and watching the sunset and yelling "Roll Tide" as he was an avid Alabama fan.

Survivors include his soulmate Barbara Jean Taylor, Georgetown, son Bobby Gibson, Jr.(Becky), Vestevia, AL, daughter, Janet Piper (Jeff), Pinson, AL, stepchildren, Dennis Thompson (Kathy), Albany, Denise Stempenski (Neil), Albany, Joey Thompson (Charlene), Sasser, Mike Thompson (Ardel), Flowery Branch, Debra Thompson, Leesburg, Ralph Thompson, Georgetown, 3 grandchildren, 17 step grandchildren and his four legged child Striker.

The family will be at the residence of Ms. Debra Thompson, 117 Augustus Dr., Leesburg, GA.
