Bland Brooks

Bland Brooks, 64, of Albany, GA, passed away January 17, 2018 at his residence. Graveside memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA. Thomas Willett will officiate. Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be rendered.

Born in San Antonio, TX, Bland was raised in Albany, GA and graduated from Dougherty High School in 1971. He served our country four years in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany after thirty years of service. Bland loved fishing and spending time with his family. Bland was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Margaret Brooks, a brother Michael Brooks, and a sister Brenda Diane Brooks.

Survivors include his sister-in-law Jeanne Brooks, of Sylvester, GA, niece Emily (Richard) Lackey of Albany, GA, nephew Jacob Brooks of Sylvester, GA, and a god daughter Meah Simmons of Albany, Ga.
